What type 2 diabetes treatment options are available?

Although many people confuse type 2 and type 1 diabetes (T1D), they are very different and have different treatment options.

For people with type 1 diabetes, the pancreas does not produce insulin, so the body cannot process sugar. Although there is no cure, T1D can be managed by taking insulin regularly.

With type 2 diabetes, however, the pancreas produces insulin, but the cells in the body cannot use that insulin effectively. This makes it a more complex illness to treat, but it also means there are more T2D treatments available.

The best part is that if caught early, type 2 diabetes can be controlled with some lifestyle changes and little type 2 diabetes medication.
